Women's Committee Carnegie Museum of Art
Who We Are
Founded in 1957, the Women’s Committee operates exclusively to promote the cultural and educational value of Carnegie Museum of Art to the community by increasing the museum’s visibility, providing financial support and expanding its community outreach. Since its inception, the Women’s Committee has funded the purchase of art for the collections, contributed to the museum’s infrastructure and gallery renovations, and participated as a major donor to museum endowment and capital campaigns.

The World of Peter Dunham
Wednesday, May 13, 2026
The Women’s Committee’s primary annual fundraiser is ON DEC! The name ON DEC is a reference to decorative arts which, along with elements of design, is the focus of the presentation each year. This year’s event will take place in the Carnegie Music Hall and Foyer with a presentation, luncheon, and book signing.
ON DEC 2026 will feature Peter Dunham, celebrated interior designer and author known for his sophisticated, timeless style. The Wall Street Journal described his style as “Merchant Ivory Moderne” and “restraint with a kick." His international style embraces color and pattern, mixing bespoke furnishings, vintage finds and modern luxuries. His design work has been featured in Architectural Digest, ELLE Decor, House and Garden, House Beautiful, Coastal Living, WSJ, Veranda, Domino, Hollywood Reporter, Los Angeles Times, and more.
